Updated Independent guide, not affiliated with Topview

Topview T1 short drama work is the first use case Topview lists on its official Topview T1 page. Topview says it suits emotional confrontations, character-driven scenes and cliffhangers in cinematic 1080p, with clips up to 30 seconds. This guide covers a workflow, prompts and costs.

Why is Topview T1 short drama a natural fit?

Topview names AI short drama creators first among the audiences for Topview T1. Its page promises "emotional confrontations, character-driven scenes, and dramatic cliffhangers" while keeping multi-shot production costs manageable, as of Oct 22, 2026.

This guide is independent and not affiliated with Topview. What follows about Topview T1 is Topview's published description, not our own test result. For the specs, see the T1 model overview.

Three published specs explain the fit:

  • Length. Topview T1 clips run up to 30 seconds, with 4s, 8s, 12s, 15s and 30s options, so one shot can hold a whole exchange.
  • Dialogue. Topview T1 lists multilingual dialogue and subtitles.
  • References. Topview T1 accepts image, video and audio references, up to 50 assets combined.

Topview T1 also lists 16:9, 9:16, 1:1, 4:3, 3:4 and 21:9. Vertical 9:16 is the usual choice for phone-first dramas, and Topview's Drama Studio FAQ recommends it for short drama platforms.

What is Topview Drama Studio?

Topview Drama Studio is a separate Topview workspace for planning episodes. Topview's Drama Studio page says you can start from a story idea, outline, script or novel chapter. An AI agent then helps build the project.

The page describes a structured workbench for outlines, characters, locations, scripts and beat sheets, plus storyboards and a production workspace with prompt editing, video versions and export.

The Topview T1 page puts it plainly: Topview T1 is the generation model, and the studios support planning and organization. Drama Studio lists V1 and V2 (beta) modes, and its start screen shows Topview T1 options for a 30-second single episode and for a series. Topview says available generation options depend on the production flow and models selected.

How do you produce a Topview T1 short drama?

Break each Topview T1 episode into small decisions and make each one cheap to change. This six-step workflow works in Drama Studio or in a plain notebook.

  1. Script. Write the episode as scenes with a clear want, obstacle and turn. Keep it to one location per scene where possible, since every new set is another Topview T1 reference to manage.
  2. Beat sheet. List 6 to 10 beats, each ending on a change in power or information. Topview's own Drama Studio example uses an eight-beat episode.
  3. Shot list. Turn each beat into one to three shots with shot size, camera move, action and spoken line.
  4. Generate shots. Draft Topview T1 shots at short lengths, then render keepers at 1080p.
  5. Review. Check face, wardrobe, props and lip movement against your references before you move on.
  6. Edit and assemble. Cut the shots together, add captions and fix pacing outside the model.

Topview says total generated footage is not the final edited runtime. Expect to throw away more Topview T1 footage than you keep.

How do you keep a character consistent in Topview T1?

Topview T1 accepts image, video and audio references, up to 50 assets in total. Use them as a character sheet rather than relying on a text description alone.

Topview's page says visual references "Guide characters and scenes." Topview has not published a Topview T1 consistency rate, so we cannot promise one. These habits give Topview T1 the best chance:

  • Build one clear front-facing reference per character, with the wardrobe you want in Topview T1 throughout the episode.
  • Add a second angle for characters who turn away from the camera.
  • Reuse the same description sentence for each character in every Topview T1 prompt.
  • Keep locations and props as references too, since Drama Studio stores them as records.
  • Review each new Topview T1 shot beside the previous one before you spend more credits.

For Topview T1, a fixed phrase such as "Mara, 30s, short black hair, grey wool coat" is cheap and repeatable.

Which drama beats suit the model?

These are our own Topview T1 patterns, not Topview guidance. Each row gives a beat and a one-line structure you can adapt.

Drama beatPrompt pattern for Topview T1
ConfrontationTwo characters, one location, who speaks first, slow push-in on the listener
Betrayal revealClose-up on the face, one small physical tell, a held beat before the line
Quiet reactionStatic medium shot, subtle expression change, no dialogue
Chase or escapeHandheld follow shot, short action verbs, one clear destination
ReunionWide establishing shot, slow approach, cut to two-shot at contact
CliffhangerFinal close-up, sudden sound or entrance, freeze on the reaction

What do full Topview T1 drama prompts look like?

Here are four full examples. Each is original and written for a 9:16 frame.

Confrontation. Inside a dim office after hours, Mara, 30s, short black hair, grey wool coat, stands across a desk from her business partner, Eli, 40s, in a navy suit. Mara says in a steady voice, "You signed it without me." Eli looks away first. The camera slowly pushes in on Mara as her jaw tightens. Realistic skin texture, warm desk lamp, cool window light, shallow depth of field.

Quiet reaction. A static medium shot of Mara at a kitchen table at dawn, holding an unopened letter. She reads the sender's name, her eyes widen slightly, and she sets the letter face down. No dialogue. Soft morning light, muted colors, natural handheld breathing.

Reunion. A wide shot of a rainy train platform at night. Mara steps off the train and stops. Across the platform, her brother Jonas waits under a yellow lamp. They walk toward each other, and the camera cuts to a two-shot as they embrace. Subtitles in English, ambient rain, no music.

Cliffhanger. A close-up of Mara in a parked car, hands on the wheel. Her phone lights up with a name she did not expect. She whispers, "He's alive." The screen cuts to black on her reaction. Cinematic lighting, tight framing, low synth hum.

Topview recommends describing action, characters, mood and camera movement. These Topview T1 prompts follow that order, and our how-to guide covers the prompt structure basics.

How do dialogue and subtitles work?

Topview lists multilingual dialogue and subtitles for Topview T1. It has not published which languages are supported, how accurate lip sync is, or how subtitles are styled, so test your own language early.

A few habits keep Topview T1 dialogue usable:

  • Put the spoken line in quotation marks and name the speaker.
  • Keep each line short, since a 30-second clip does not need a speech.
  • Say who is on screen when the line is spoken.
  • State "no dialogue, subtitles, or text" when you want a silent shot, as Topview's own example prompt does.
  • Generate subtitles in Topview T1 or add captions later in your editor, and keep one method per project.

Drama Studio also mentions voiceover and captions in its workflow, though it notes that options depend on the models selected. For Topview T1 dialogue in practice, see what early users say about dialogue.

How much does a Topview T1 short drama episode cost?

Topview T1 costs 2.2 credits per second at 1080p for every member, with a list price of 2.75 (Topview's pricing page). Topview has not published a 720p price. This Topview T1 table plans one episode of 20 shots at 8 seconds each.

ScenarioSeconds generatedCredits at 2.2/s
One pass, 20 shots x 8 s160352
Three takes per shot4801,056
Five takes per shot8001,760
Add four 4-second drafts per shot, then two final takes1,2802,816

In the Topview T1 plan, the last row spends more seconds but keeps most of them short. Whether it beats the simpler rows depends on how often your drafts predict a good final take.

Our pricing guide lists the 1080p rate per second and converts credits to dollars for each plan. Topview's own estimator on the Topview T1 page assumes five generations per shot, which matches the five-takes row.

Can you draft drama shots on this site?

This section is separate from Topview T1. topviewt1.app is an independent site with its own AI video studio, and the studio does not run Topview T1. Topview T1 has no public API as of Oct 22, 2026, so it appears here only as a "Coming soon" option with an email waitlist.

Our studio has two tiers, Standard and Premium, which use a third-party video model through an API. Clips run 4 to 15 seconds and include native audio by default.

Sample made with this site's Premium tier (16:9, 8s). Not Topview T1 output.

You can draft drama shots in our studio to rehearse blocking, dialogue timing and prompt wording before you spend Topview credits.

Sample made with this site's Premium tier (16:9, 10s). Not Topview T1 output.

The output will look different from Topview T1 and should never be labelled as Topview T1 footage. New accounts get 30 credits, enough for one 5-second Standard clip at 480p.
