To use Topview T1, open the Topview workspace, describe your scene in a prompt of up to 3,500 characters, choose 720p or 1080p, a duration and an aspect ratio, then generate and refine (as of Oct 22, 2026, per the official Topview T1 page). This guide covers each Topview T1 step, then shows a similar workflow on this site.
This site is independent and not affiliated with Topview. Our generator does not run Topview T1. Browse our Topview T1 hub for the other guides.
How to use Topview T1 step by step
Topview describes three steps for your first video. We have expanded each into practical actions.
The steps below come from Topview's page. The tips are general prompt advice, not Topview T1 test results, because we have no Topview T1 access.
Step 1: Pick a Topview T1 mode and describe your scene
Topview T1 offers three generation modes: Text to Video, Image to Video and Multi Reference. Start with Text to Video if you are new to Topview T1, because it needs only words.
Topview says to describe the action, characters, mood and camera movement. The prompt box accepts up to 3,500 characters, which is plenty. Most good Topview T1 prompts are far shorter.
Step 2: Choose your settings
Set three options before you generate:
- Resolution: 720p (labeled Everyday) or 1080p (labeled Recommended).
- Duration: 4s, 8s, 12s, 15s or 30s in the interface.
- Aspect ratio: 16:9, 9:16, 1:1, 4:3, 3:4 or 21:9.
Topview recommends 1080p for cinematic Topview T1 work. Published credit pricing covers 1080p only, at 2.2 credits per second, so a 4-second test costs 8.8 credits (Topview's pricing page). See what each setting costs in dollars.
Step 3: Generate, review and refine
Press generate, watch the Topview T1 result, then change one thing and try again. Topview's advice is that small changes can make a big difference.
Change only one variable per retake, such as the camera move or the lighting. If you change everything, you cannot tell which edit helped.

Add references when words are not enough
Topview T1 accepts image, video and audio references, with a published limit of 50 assets in total. Use them to keep a character, a location or a sound mood consistent across Topview T1 shots. Topview also asks you to confirm you have rights to any reference you upload.
For a full short film or drama, Topview points to its Film Studio and Drama Studio tools for planning. Topview says Topview T1 is the generation model while Studio handles organization. Our drama guide covers multi-shot drama scenes.
Which Topview T1 prompt should you start with?
Topview publishes a sample prompt on its model page, tagged Beginner-Friendly, 5s, 1080p, 16:9. Here it is, credited to Topview:
A young woman standing on a quiet city street at night, holding a transparent umbrella in the rain. Soft neon lights in purple and blue reflect on the wet pavement. She slowly looks up with a subtle, hopeful smile as raindrops fall around her. The camera gently pushes in from a medium shot to a close-up, capturing realistic facial details, natural movement, and beautiful shallow depth of field. Photorealistic, atmospheric lighting, premium film quality, smooth camera motion. No dialogue, subtitles, or text.

Notice the structure of this Topview T1 sample. It names the subject, the setting, the action, the camera move, the look and an audio instruction. You can reuse that pattern for any Topview T1 scene.
Which prompts work for different scenes?
These original prompts follow the same Topview T1 pattern. They are our examples, not Topview samples, and we have not tested them on Topview T1.
Product shot:
A glass bottle of cold brew coffee on a marble counter in morning light. Condensation runs down the glass. The camera slowly orbits left, then settles on the label. Warm tones, shallow depth of field, soft ambient sound, no text overlays.
Short drama beat:
Inside a quiet classroom after hours, a student gathers her notebooks and turns to face a classmate. Her expression shifts from nervous to firm. Handheld medium close-up, naturalistic light, tense silence broken by one line: "I'm done being quiet."
Animation:
A tiny clockwork fox wakes in an overgrown greenhouse and nudges a dusty lantern. Warm light spreads across the glass. Gentle crane shot rising from the fox to the roof, storybook illustration style, soft music.
Keep dialogue short in Topview T1 prompts. Long speeches in a 4 to 8 second clip tend to rush, so give each line room.
What can you make with the model?
Topview's showcase groups Topview T1 samples into five formats: AI animation, AI music video, cinematic film, AI drama and AI reality show. One reality show sample is labeled 30s, which matches the maximum length. Topview presents these as examples of what the model can do, and we have not verified them.
The same page lists six audiences: short drama creators, filmmakers, animation creators, music video creators, variety show producers and creative studios. If your project is a single product ad, you can still use Topview T1, but the page is clearly written for story-driven work.
How should you plan a Topview T1 shot before generating?
Topview's workflow page suggests thinking through character, setting, action and camera direction before you generate. A short plan saves credits.
Write one line for each item:
- Character: who is in the frame and what they wear.
- Setting: place, time of day and weather.
- Action: one clear thing that happens.
- Camera: one movement and one shot size.
- Look and sound: style, light and audio, plus any "no text" instruction.
Then merge the five lines into two or three sentences. A tight plan makes each Topview T1 retake easier to judge, because you know what you asked for.
Troubleshooting: how to fix common Topview T1 results
These fixes are general practice for AI video prompts, not Topview T1 specific findings. Try one change at a time, and note the result of each Topview T1 retake.
| Problem | One change to try |
|---|---|
| Topview T1 ignores part of the prompt | Move the key action to the first sentence |
| Camera movement feels random | Name one camera move, such as a slow push-in |
| Character looks different between takes | Add an image reference of the character |
| Scene feels cluttered | Remove secondary objects from the prompt |
| Lighting looks flat | Specify the light source and time of day |
| Unwanted text or subtitles appear | State "no text or subtitles" explicitly |
| Motion is too fast or too slow | Shorten or lengthen the duration |
| Spending too many credits on tests | Draft Topview T1 at 4 seconds first |
On cost, remember Topview has not published a 720p credit price for Topview T1. If you draft at 720p, check the quote before generating. For free credits and trials, see our free guide.
Try a similar workflow on this site
You can practice the same loop on this site today. Our generator uses a third-party video model through an API, in Standard and Premium tiers. It does not run Topview T1, and a result from it will not match what Topview T1 would produce.
Follow these steps:
- Open the generator and choose Standard, the default.
- Pick text-to-video, or image-to-video with a first frame and an optional last frame. Text-to-video can take up to five reference images.
- Paste a prompt. Reuse any example above, since the prompt pattern carries over.
- Choose 480p, 720p or 1080p, and a length from 4 to 15 seconds. 1080p needs a paid plan.
- Choose the aspect ratio: 16:9, 9:16, 4:3, 3:4, 1:1 or 21:9.
- Keep native audio on, or turn it off, then generate and refine.
Standard costs 6 credits per second at 480p, so a 5-second draft is 30 credits, exactly the 30 free credits you get at signup. Premium costs 12 credits per second at 480p.
A smart habit before you spend Topview T1 credits is to draft on Standard at 480p, then move the best prompt to Premium at a higher resolution. If Topview T1 gets an API (it is absent from Topview's API docs today), you can automate it later with your best prompts.
